We are seeking a Director to join our consulting team. In this role, you will work with a variety of clients in the sports & entertainment industry. This role sits at the intersection of consumer behavior, fandom, and measurement within the partnership marketing landscape. This is an integrated leadership role across the agency with the opportunity to influence high-profile brand partnerships, build new tools and foster long-term departmental growth.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Consumer Research
- Support business and client initiatives with research and insights on varied topics including sponsorship category research, fan insights and consumer behaviors
- Develop local market strategies by creating individual market sports profiles
- Create in-depth league, team, and athlete analyses including pre-and post-sponsorship evaluation
- Translate data into actionable insights for internal stakeholders and clients
- Serve as thought leader on consumer insights related to our clients business, cultural trends and behavioral shifts
Measurement
- Develop and execute measurement programs for client including dashboard development and optimization recommendations to maximize performance
- Lead and oversee primary research programs including quantitative and qualitative studies for brand clients including measurement of awareness, perceptions, attitudes, and buying behaviors among targeted fans/consumers; delivering insights and trends across the full partnership lifecycle and comparables to industry benchmarks
- Develop customized sponsorship ROI and impact frameworks across client partnership portfolio
- Integrate consumer insight into broader sponsorship measurement models
Agency & Client Relationship Management
- Partner with account team leads to enhance and communicate research capabilities
- Serve as resource for industry trends, sponsorship news and activity relating to client categories and competitors
- Build high-trust relationships that foster growth across client teams and new business
- Lead identification, evaluation and onboarding of new vendors
Experience/Skills Required:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree from a four-year college or university in a related field of study
- 5-8 years of related experience in sports/sponsorship/consumer insights
- Experience with syndicated data resources
- Quantitative and qualitative research expertise, including survey programming and analysis
- A passion for data-driven storytelling, incorporating insights and data into compelling deliverables
- Self-motivated with the ability to prioritize and manage several projects for multiple clients concurrently
