
This is an entry-level, temporary position (with the possibility of temp to perm) in the GSE Live Trainee Program. Our Trainee Program offers a unique opportunity for college grads with a desire pursue a career in experiential and event marketing. Trainees will gain hands-on experience in account management, event planning, on-site logistics and event activation.
This position will support the GSE Live account team in the Eastern Region with the activation and execution of experiential & event marketing initiatives across GSE Live’s automotive portfolio. Trainees will assist with the planning, implementation and execution of local/regional events that drive brand awareness and hands-on product engagement for our client. andidates must possess strong written and verbal communication skills which are necessary to interface with various internal departments, clients, partners, vendors, and consumers.
The ideal candidate is self-motivated, thrives under pressure, works well in a fast-paced environment, and is passionate about event management, execution, and logistics. Strong organizational skills, excellent attention to detail, and a strong work ethic are necessary to succeed in this role. Candidates must be willing and able to travel to events and work nights/weekends regularly (estimated 80% of the time will be spent traveling/on-site at events).
Job Responsibilities and Duties:
Support GSE Live account management team across multiple programs and initiatives in the Eastern Region
Responsible for managing the coordination and execution of all event logistics (i.e. signage, displays, vehicles, premiums, lead generation/CRM activities) at 50+ events
Assist with vendor and staff management, premium inventory, and event research
Develop and manage program planning documents such as run of show spreadsheets, timelines, etc.
Create program recaps highlighting event metrics, key learnings and recommendations
Ensure all client expectations and objectives are met and exceeded
Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in Management, Marketing, Business, or a related field
1-2 year’s work or internship experience in marketing, communications, advertisingor other business-related field
Previous event marketing experience is a plus
Willingness to travel extensively including nights, weekends & holidays, and work nontraditional work hours (Estimated 70% of the time spent traveling/on-site at events)
Detail-oriented with the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and produce quality work within established deadlines
Strong work ethic with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
Demonstrated ability to take initiative and solve problems independently
Excellent judgment with the ability to proactively identify issues/obstacles and effectively create solutions
Capacity to become knowledgeable about our clients’ industry, brand, and products
Proficiency with Microsoft Office (specifically PowerPoint, Excel and Word)
Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
Must own your own vehicle and be willing to use it to travel (mileage reimbursed)
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
