Assistant Manager – Research and Insights

We are seeking a Assistant Manager to join our consulting team. In this role, you will work with a variety of clients in the sports & entertainment industry. This role sits at the intersection of consumer behavior, fandom, and measurement within the partnership marketing landscape. You will collaborate across agency teams and must be comfortable presenting data to internal and external stakeholders.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Consumer Research
- Support business and client initiatives with research and insights on varied topics including sponsorship category research, fan insights and consumer behaviors
- Develop local market strategies by creating individual market sports profiles
- Create in-depth league, team, and athlete analyses including pre-and post-sponsorship evaluation
- Translate data into actionable insights for internal stakeholders and clients
- Serve as thought leader on consumer insights related to our clients business, cultural trends and behavioral shifts
Measurement
- Assist in creation of measurement programs for client including dashboard development and optimization recommendations to maximize performance
- Manage custom primary research projects for clients including measurement of awareness, perceptions, attitudes, and buying behaviors among targeted fans/consumers
Agency & Client Relationship Management
- Serve as resource for industry trends, sponsorship news and activity relating to client categories and competitors
- Build high-trust relationships that foster growth across client teams and new business
Experience/Skills Required:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree from a four-year college or university in a related field of study
- 1-2 years of related experience in sports/sponsorship/consumer insights
- Ability to quickly learn syndicated data resources and survey programming tools
- Capacity to translate and present raw data into insightful takeaways
- Microsoft Office proficiency including Excel and PowerPoint with the ability to create eye-caching graphs, charts, and tables
- Self-motivated with the ability to prioritize and manage several projects for multiple clients concurrently
- Ability to effectively communicate with clients and internal client account teams
