Job Description:
GSE is looking for candidates with at least 4 years of experience for their next opportunity in the Sports Marketing industry working with marquee clients on their local sports/entertainment partnerships. The ideal candidate will be professional, detail-oriented, organized, and can commit full-time to the position. Hours will require weekend-work. GSE’s current policy is 4-days in the office per week.
Responsibilities:
- Provide day-to-day management support of Client’s sports sponsorships
- Agency liaison between all cross functional parties and team partners
- Heavily support efforts around planning, asset tracking, and recapitalization
- Assist with managing sponsorship funds and troubleshooting challenges on an as-needed basis
- Support client on hospitality usage and leveraging tickets/experiences
- Provide feedback and direction on sponsorship components and assist on creative approval processes
- Manage all aspects of local talent deals (appearances, social posts, production days, payment, on-site support)
- Ensure brand guidelines and client objectives are executed accurately across all channels
- Traffic / deliver contractual assets from to partners and ensure proof of performance
- Lead internal status calls with clients and external calls with team partners and draft recaps and agendas
- Prepare quarterly audits of sponsorship usage reports
- Monitor and share relevant trends and opportunities across digital, social, and experiential/IRL platforms
- Assist in building, communicating, and implementing campaigns grounded in business goals
- Serve as an in-venue resource and an on-site point of contact at key events and marquee venues
- Facilitate executive and VIP needs and experiences on an ad-hoc basis
Qualities required for role:
- Professional understanding of (and ability to explain) contractual sports assets and terminology
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Self-starter that’s proactive and has initiative
- Creative-thinker with ability to create strategy and ideation decks
- Ability to build and maintain strong relationships to drive alignment and trust
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
- Natural curiosity and genuine interest about sports sponsorships and clients’ business
- Experience in accounting practices and fund tracking/planning
- Punctual and professional attitude with strong work-ethic
- Strong communication skills with outgoing personality and friendly client service demeanor
- Reliable transportation and ability to travel up to 20% of the time
- Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously
- Ability to lift at least 25lbs
